Jerry's is a semi-upscale eatery in trendy Bowie. Good vibe, good ambiance but the food is AWESOME. Marylanders know crab and this spot specializes in the thing you want but don't want to work for. Jerry 's Famous Crab Bomb was... bomb! It's a giant ball of tasty tasty hot crab meat, ready-to-eat. Worth half a Benjamin lemme tell you! I had the green beans, which were "steamed then roasted" (a first for me) and they were exceptional. Those we ate first. In the end, we were full, the plates were clean and all was well with the world. Definitely go!
crab bisque regular crab soups good as it gets. calamari best i ever had side sauce special made fresh not done in south jersey. $45 dollar crab bomb all crab good but not what i expected could just be me ? raw oysters cold fresh but flat no brine once again my taste place is clean excellent service i should have tried the scallops i would think they would be excellent soup is special will not go wrong here they charge good money but deliver the goods john masso went to navy game ate here twice
Overall A- As a first timer, I went on a Tuesday night in July, party of 2. It was not too packed. It was a nice ambiance- you can either dress it up or down. I was coming from a formal event but didn't feel out of place. I ordered the baby crab and shrimp bomb which was excellent and so filling. I definitely would return. The costs were a bit high and I had a couple of drinks, but I'll definitely visit again when I'm in the Bowie area.
Great food. Great service. One of the few places where I'd say the outrageous prices are worth it.
I could not have had a better dinner on my second encounter! We arrived 30 minutes to close. They were hospitable and gave us the booth seats which was what we wanted! Our waiter was a jewel, very polite and engaging! The ambience was great! So many families having fun's while enjoying their yummy dishes. When our food came - oh my - God - unbelievable! The most meaty and juice crab cake I've ever had! They allowed us to stay until 10:40pm (after their open hours) so we could enjoy our time together and our meal! I hope we can go back to other delicious encounters!
For more than 35 years Jerry's Seafood has been serving the Washington D.C. Area with its signature trademarked dish The Crab Bomb™ Jerry's is known for other delights. The service is great here. The restaurant is clean and has an overall great presentation. You cannot go wrong with Jerry's! If you're ever in the area. Get Some!!!!!
We were seated quickly even though it was a large party of 10. Started off with the drink orders and appetizers. We ordered the calamari and large spiced shrimp. The calamari was fried to perfection. Then for dinner we, of course had the crab bomb. Delicious. We also tried the crab & shrimp bomb. Now these are the best crab cakes in the DC Metro area. Filled with premium lump crab meat, thus the name crab bomb. We also had the haddock, blackened, and the sides were salad, asparagus and baked potato. Overall, this is a classy place. Also, they have a wonderful bar area for watching the game or for happy hour.
I love coming here, food is always consistent and I love that. The service is always on point. The atmosphere is nice as well. Can't go wrong when going to Jerry's.
We went to Jerry's for a birthday lunch. I'll start by saying we had the infant twins and this is definitely not the place for babies. Well it could be, but it's a no for me. It's a nice intimate setting for a group that is looking for a quiet, casual, dining experience. We certainly enjoyed it, haha but the babies were most def the center of attention so it was hard for me to focus on much other than them. I only remember what I ordered which was the cream of crab soup and Mariners platter. The soup was amazing! Mariners platter was as well, but it in no way agreed with me. My mom told me it's probably because I'm not used to having fresh seafood, which I'm sure I'm not. Boy was my stomach upset! I'd definitely go back though. I didn't have a chance to really look at the menu, but there appeared to be some decent options. I know it to be a hot spot, so definitely worth another try.
A must stop if you're ever in the area. The place can get a bit noisy and crowded, but you come for the Crab Bomb. The service is always good even when they're slammed. If you want to get your fix, then this is the place.
